Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Missy mobile application and related websites (together, the “Service”) operated by Missy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Missy helps you turn messages, screenshots, and notes into structured records such as calendar events, tasks, and lists. Extraction results are shown for your confirmation before records are saved, except where you create items manually.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Missy. You sign in with Apple or Google via our authentication provider. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Service;
• upload content you do not have the right to share;
• misuse another person’s account or Orbit workspace;
• use automated systems to scrape or abuse extraction capacity beyond normal personal use.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (including text and images). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service — for example, running OCR, sending text to our AI provider for extraction, storing structured results you confirm, and syncing with calendars you connect.

5. AI-assisted extraction

Missy uses third-party AI and OCR services to interpret content. Results may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing confirmations before saving. We do not guarantee that every capture will extract successfully.

6. Subscriptions & purchases

Missy may offer free and paid tiers (such as Pro or Orbit). Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and managed by Apple. Free tiers may include usage limits and advertising. Refunds are handled according to Apple’s policies.

7. Orbit shared workspaces

If you create or join an Orbit, members may see and edit shared records in that workspace. Invite responsibly. Orbit owners can manage membership within product limits.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as authentication (Clerk), database and storage (Supabase), AI (Anthropic), OCR (Google Cloud Vision), subscriptions (RevenueCat / Apple), and optional calendar providers. Their terms may also apply when you use those features.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MISSY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using Missy at any time and delete your account by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.
