Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Missy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Missy app and missy.live.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive identifiers and profile details provided by that sign-in (such as a user ID and, when available, email and display name).

Content you submit. Text, screenshots, and other media you capture or share with Missy so we can extract events, tasks, and lists.

Structured records. Events, tasks, lists, Orbit membership, and related metadata you create or confirm.

Device & usage data. Push notification tokens, app version, approximate diagnostics needed to operate the Service, and subscription entitlement status from Apple / RevenueCat.

Calendar connections. If you connect a calendar, we store connection tokens (encrypted at the application layer) to create or update events you choose to sync.

Website support form. If you contact us via the support form, we receive the name, email, topic, and message you submit.

2. How we use information

• to provide extraction, confirmation, storage, and sync features;
• to authenticate you and secure your account;
• to enforce free-tier limits and manage subscriptions;
• to send transactional notifications (for example, when an extraction is ready);
• to respond to support requests;
• to maintain, debug, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your capture content for advertising.

3. AI and processing of captures

To extract structure from your content, Missy may send text (and, for screenshots, image data or OCR text) to:

• Anthropic — language model extraction;
• Google Cloud Vision — OCR for screenshots when needed.

We instruct our systems not to log raw capture content in application logs. Providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies for the purpose of fulfilling your request.

4. Where we store data

Application data is stored with infrastructure providers such as Supabase (database and file storage for screenshots). Capture keys for headless uploads may be stored in your device Keychain / App Group so extensions can authenticate without opening the app.

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run Missy:

• Service providers — Clerk (auth), Supabase (data), Anthropic (AI), Google (OCR), RevenueCat / Apple (subscriptions), hosting and email delivery for support;
• Orbit members — content in a shared Orbit is visible to members of that Orbit;
• Legal — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Ads

On the free tier, Missy may show ads in passive list views via Google AdMob. Ads are not shown during capture or confirmation flows. Ad networks may collect device advertising identifiers subject to your device settings and their policies.

7. Retention

We retain account and record data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting support. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period or where we must keep it for legal reasons.

8. Your choices

• disconnect calendars in-app;
• revoke capture keys by signing out;
• manage notifications in iOS Settings;
• manage subscriptions in Apple ID subscriptions;
• request access or deletion via Support.

9. Children

Missy is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International users

We may process data in countries where our providers operate. By using Missy, you understand your information may be transferred to those locations with appropriate safeguards where required.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
